Scottish Country Dancing is the Ballroom Dancing of Scotland (not to be confused with Highland Dancing).
It is believed to have started in the 17th Century and has now spread throughout the world.
This dance style has wonderful, traditional music; intricate formations; it can be danced by all age groups; and is a healthy, fun and friendly form of social dancing. You don't need to be Scottish, wear a kilt or have a partner to dance - you just need to wear soft flexible shoes.
